Mayor Mike Savage has written a letter for all Haligonians asking that employers show some compassion to employees after contracting Moosehead fever with the memorial cup tournament in town.
The mayor tells employers that workers suffering from Moosehead fever Wednesday might show symptoms on Thursday morning: tardiness, grogginess and a simultaneous craving for water and salty snacks.
With the Halifax Mooseheads hitting the ice for the third Memorial Cup game there could be a “good number of employees will be operating at a reduced capacity on Thursday,” Savage wrote.
He also noted that some employees might make “unwise food and beverage choices” as well.
The mayor seems to know his city well. Thanks for your support Mike!
